ADAS systems rely on precise measurement and interpretation of data from sensors and cameras. If these components are not properly calibrated, the system may not function correctly or provide accurate information. Calibration is essential to ensure the safety and effectiveness of ADAS features.
ADAS calibration is typically required after certain repairs or replacements that may affect the system's alignment. This can include windshield replacement, front bumper replacement, wheel alignment, suspension repair, or any repairs that involve the ADAS sensors and cameras. If you are facing issues with your ADAS system with warnings on your dashboard, then it is likely it'll require calibration too, as these systems can naturally require a fresh calibration after a period of time.
Vehicles should be fitted with full size wheels and inflated to the correct tyre pressure. A recent wheel alignment is also recommended.
Ensure any unneccesary weight in the car is removed, for example, heavy luggage or roofboxes etc. The vehicle should also ideally have a full tank of fuel too.
